The Pre-Health Empowerment Society (PES) is a student-led organization at UCLA dedicated to helping aspiring healthcare professionals turn their pre-health dreams into reality. Whether members are pursuing careers in medicine, dentistry, or other health-related fields, PES provides the support, resources, and community needed to help students grow into future healthcare leaders.
Through workshops, mentorship, application guidance, service initiatives, and fundraising events, we empower Bruins to develop as learners, leaders, and advocates for their communities. At our core, we believe that healthcare extends beyond the classroom and that future healthcare professionals have a responsibility to give back: both on campus today and in the communities they will serve tomorrow.
We are proud to partner with St. John’s Community Health in support of its mission to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare to underserved communities throughout Los Angeles. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to service, health equity, and creating meaningful impact where it is needed most.
This partnership was initiated and coordinated by Erlin Babaian, Founder & President of the UCLA Pre-Health Empowerment Society. Inspired by her studies in Global Health, Erlin is passionate about healthcare access, health equity, and serving underserved communities. This collaboration with St. John’s Community Health reflects the organization’s commitment to meaningful community engagement and service.
