Cuts enacted within H.R. 1 are gutting LA County's safety net and threatening to shut down our emergency rooms, local hospitals, community clinics, school-based health centers, and critical public health services. The Essential Services Restoration Act is a LA County ballot measure asking voters to approve a temporary½ penny sales tax that will generate the critical funding needed to keep our hospitals open, protect life-saving services, and ensure every dollar stays here in Los Angeles County through strict oversight and independent audits.
