LA County Federation of Labor
Wheeler makes history as the first Black woman elected President of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, representing over 800,000 members across 300 affiliated unions. She also serves as First Vice President of the California Federation of Labor Unions, representing 2.3 million members across 1,300 affiliated unions, and as Vice Chair of the California Democratic Party Labor Caucus.
A proud mother and grandmother, Wheeler’s life stands as a testament to courage, resilience, and the enduring power of collective action.
