❓ HOW DO I CHECK MY REFERRAL STATUS?

Log in to the Patient Portal:

❓ WHEN WILL I GET MY REFERRAL?

If you have insurance (Medi-Cal, Medicare, etc.):
✅ Text from Referral Team with specialist info
📬 Authorization letter from your health plan in 7–14 business days
Wait for the letter before calling the specialist.

If you DO NOT have insurance:
📞 County Appointment Scheduling Center (ASC) will call you.

❓ HAVING SURGERY SOON?

📅 Schedule your Pre-Op Clearance at least 3–4 weeks in advance

Bring to your appointment:
• Surgery info & date
• Surgeon’s name/contact
• Any instructions or handouts

Tests may include: Physical exam, lab work, EKG/X-ray
Your provider will send clearance to your surgeon directly.
