Street Medicine Program

Our Street Medicine Team Meets People Where They Are

The Street Medicine Team provides comprehensive medical and social services directly to individuals experiencing homelessness in community settings. Our goal is to reduce barriers to care by bringing healthcare and supportive services to patients where they are.

Street Medicine Services

Our clinical services include primary care, acute care, wound care, medication management, rapid HIV and STI testing, HIV treatment and management, phlebotomy, immunizations, and behavioral health services.

Strengthening Trust. Inspiring Hope

In addition to medical care, our Street Medicine team provides behavioral health services, benefits enrollment counseling, care coordination, peer recovery navigation, case management, and referrals to a variety of in-house programs, including Domestic Violence Services, the RISE Program, Legal Services, Homeless Services, and other supportive resources. We also distribute hygiene kits, snacks, harm reduction supplies, and other essential items to help meet our patients' immediate needs while connecting them to ongoing care and community resources.

Bringing Care to the Community

Our Street Medicine teams provide services throughout Central and South Los Angeles, as well as Boyle Heights. Our recurrent sites include Skid Row, MacArthur Park, shelters (such as the VOA and Mayfair), interim housing motels, freeway underpasses, parks, and street encampments. We also respond to referrals and conduct outreach at additional locations throughout our service area to ensure that individuals have access to compassionate and holistic care regardless of where they are located.
