Los Angeles –
The Movable Feast, an annual fundraiser for St. John’s Community Health, will take place this year on Sunday, September 15th. Prominent restaurants in Los Angeles – including Holbox, a James Beard nominated and Michelin Guide Rated Mexican seafood restaurant – will come together to support the continued expansion of services offered by St. John’s Community Health.

More information about the Movable Feast, including ticket sales, can be found here.

“As a community health network, we rely on a diversity of resources – which is why fundraisers like the Movable Feast are critical in our work to respond to the most urgent needs of people living in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire,” said Jim Mangia, President and CEO of St. John’s Community Health. “We are honored to be sponsored by chefs willing to donate their time and talents towards helping us expand our impact, pay our staff a livable wage, and create innovative programs curated for specific communities.”

This year, Reverend Warner Traynham will be presented with the Champion Award for his instrumental work to expand the reach and scope of St. John’s Community Health starting in 1983. David Green, President-Executive director of SEIU Local 721, will be presented with the Advocacy Award for his unwavering dedication to working for fair wages for health care workers and service workers in Los Angeles county.

St. John’s Community Health is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The community health network has continuously adapted to community needs over the years – most recently, from expanding their street medicine team to serve people experiencing homelessness, to starting a Black maternal and infant health wellness program with already notable impact, to launching a robust harm reduction and NARCAN training program, to opening three new clinics in the vastly underserved Inland Empire, and more.

St. John’s Community Health is a network of 24 community health centers and 4 mobile clinics providing free and low-cost health care in South, Central, and East Los Angeles; the Inland Empire; and the Coachella Valley.
