St. John’s Community Health is committed to protective and transparent healthcare regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, and/or presentation. We provide comprehensive transgender health services in a safe and welcoming environment at our clinics where you are free to be yourself.

Primary and preventive care – medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services

Hormone replacement therapy

Referrals for gender confirming surgeries

Referrals to transgender advocates, legal support, and other services

Name and/or gender marker changes

Behavioral and mental health care – individual counseling, family counseling, and support groups

HIV and STI testing, counseling, and treatment

Health insurance enrollment

Assistance with legal name/gender change paperwork

  • At St. John’s, anyone is eligible to receive services, no matter their ability to pay. We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare and many other insurance plans. We have benefits counselors at all of our health centers to help patients determine their eligibility for insurance programs. For uninsured patients we offer services on a sliding scale cash basis.

  • We offer Pharmacy, prescription and Laboratory services including: Senior programs, Public-Private Partnership, Sliding Fee Scale Pharmacy Programs, diagnostic and laboratory procedures, HIV and STD testing and more. Our Dispensaries offer prescription services to enrolled clinic patients.
